The camera can optionally record motion events or continuously in 24/7 mode to a microSD card (up to 256GB, not included), Reolink NVR, or FTP server. Storing footage on the microSD card allows for longer recordings at the default bitrate in the 24/7 recording schedule.

Remote access is available anytime, anywhere, enabling users to live-view and share memorable moments with family and friends via the Reolink App or Client. The camera supports simultaneous live streaming for up to 12 users across different devices, with 2 main streams and 10 sub-streams.

The camera can be easily set up and accessed via the Reolink App, Reolink PC client, or web browser (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari) using a PoE switch/injector (not included) and a CAT5, CAT6, or CAT7 Ethernet cable (up to 330ft, with a 1m/3.3ft cable included).

The RLC-820A is compatible with select Reolink NVR models (N7MB01, N6MB01, N5MB01, H3MB18, N3MB01, N2MB02) running the latest firmware, allowing for seamless integration and smart detection/playback functionality. While it can be added to some third-party software or NVR systems, full compatibility is only guaranteed with Reolink's own solutions.
